I'm Marla Lynn. I titled my drawing "Leaving Shame I Felt For Being Treated For Mental Health Behind." I felt ashamed for years for seeking help for depression because I felt I would be perceived as broken and not considered to be valuable to anyone. I learned that was my own perception. I show a girl in the drawing looking back at the pain and moving towards brighter days. I drew the color picture of an Alien Woman holding her world in her strong arms. I lost my cat Sweetie in Dec 2020 and included her. The wing I drew represents my spirituality. I'm ready for the future because I am well educated and equipped and a strong woman
