Their Center for Training delivers workshops to a worldwide audience of mental health professionals, researchers, and educators, and our Philadelphia-based Center for Psychotherapy provides state-of-the-art therapy and consultations. The late Dr. Aaron T. Beck developed Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) at the University of Pennsylvania in the 1960s. In 1994, Dr. Beck and his daughter, Dr. Judith Beck, established Beck Institute as a non-profit 501(c)(3). Their goal was to create a new clinical setting that would provide both state-of-the-art psychotherapy and comprehensive training opportunities for professionals worldwide.

The Duck Cup Memorial Fund is a Non-Profit Organization formed of graduates from New Prague High School Class of 2000. In 2001, the founders had extremely unfortunate experience of losing a close friend to suicide. In 2013, Duck Cup Memorial was established, dedicated to providing resources for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Since that time, the reach was expanded from just high school students in New Prague to grades 5-12 all across Minnesota and Iowa. With a mission to improve the education of students grades 3–8 in Philadelphia’s traditional public and charter schools, Need in Deed helps students increase academic and 21st-century skills through the transformative experience of service-learning. Since 1987, Need in Deed has engaged students in this yearlong process of active problem-solving around community issues, using its signature My Voice approach. The approach is designed to deepen students’ connection to school; improve their academic and 21st-century skills; and build habits of inquiry, problem-solving, cooperation, and civic participation.
