Secret Lives of Teens & Tweens

Understanding and Engagement

Format

The Secret Lives of Teens & Tweens” is a dynamic and fun two-hour presentation for parents and caregivers that actively focuses on what children in these age groups are really thinking, what they fear, why they do not share more, and how adults can effectively support the teens and tweens in their lives. This presentation covers areas such as depression and anxiety, social media and technology, suicide, ‘acting out’ behaviors, drug and alcohol use, and more.

This presentation is suitable for large groups, and participants will leave the workshop with strategies they can implement immediately (who has time to wait?!) including:

  • Strategies they can implement immediately
  • New ways of understanding teens & tweens and their behaviors
  • Innovative techniques for engaging teens & tweens
  • Specific language to better elicit productive conversations
  • Confidence and courage

Presented exclusively by Minding Your Mind’s Massachusetts clinical director Jon Mattleman, a mental health counselor and trainer with 30 years of experience working with youth, parents, and families. His dynamic presentations have been presented to thousands of parents in all over New England.

“We have had the privilege of working with Minding Your Mind Speakers on several occasions. They are incredibly impressive, well-spoken, and engaging. Their stories are very powerful and moving. Every time I hear them speak I see people touched by the story and moved profoundly. What they do is very meaningful, and I’m so thankful that they are willing to share their lives and stories with us.”
