Mary Ruth began her wellness journey 15 years ago through practicing yoga. The practice brought increased strength, balance, and a keener awareness of the mind-body connection. Eager to share the benefits of yoga with others, she enrolled in the teacher training class at Verge Yoga in Wayne, PA, and received her 200 RYT certification in April 2020.
Inspired by the profound benefits of moving mindfully, Mary Ruth began cultivating a more in-depth sense of presence and mind-body connection through her personal practice of meditation. Her desire to enrich her own practice and help others cultivate the same mindful awareness within themselves has led her to study Mindfulness Meditation under the guidance of Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She has completed the Power of Presence with Tara and Jack and as of February 2023 is certified from the Mindfulness Meditation Teaching Certification Program.
Mary Ruth has shared her passion for mindfulness with people of all ages including elementary school children, teenagers and college students, corporate executives, wellness communities and other mindfulness-based community programs. She is passionate about women’s health and wellness and enjoys spending time with family and friends outdoors: hiking, biking, skiing, roller and ice skating. She also finds joy growing her own veggies and cooking up a delicious meal from her garden.
