Alex Swanson is an Associate Clinical Social Worker with experience in complex trauma, human trafficking, substance abuse, anxiety, and depression. Before receiving her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Azusa Pacific University, Alex was a first grade teacher for Teach for America, where she worked to eradicate racism and poverty through teaching. Working alongside low income students, the school and justice systems, and child welfare, Alex has become well versed in uplifting the voices of her clients and students through social emotional learning, EMDR, CBT, MI, and various other evidence based practices.
Alex is based in San Diego, California. In-person speaking engagements beyond 90 miles may require a fee for travel expenses.
