Major Gifts Officer

Full time/part time/ or telecommute considered
Reports to the Executive Director

Minding Your Mind is seeking a Major Gifts Officer. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience preferably in the field of mental health. The selected individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a major gift donor program to meet the organization’s major gifts fundraising goal and build the large gift donor base. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Major Gifts Officer is responsible for prospecting, cultivation, and direct solicitation of all major gifts.

Responsibilities:
1. Research possible major donors to create a prospect list
2.Solicit large gifts on behalf of the organization
3.Manage relationships with major donors and prospects
4. Provide Weekly progress reports to Executive Director and Board Chair

Duties:
Manage Major Giving Campaign
•Develop the plan and budget for major donor program
•Develop portfolios of prospects for personal solicitation
Identify, research and qualify major donors
•Assist in the development of goals and strategies for the development department
•Track and report on progress of the major gifts program throughout the year
•Manage SalesForce systems for tracking and cultivating donors, and prospects through the database
•Provide ongoing support and appropriate accountability, and strategic counsel to the Executive Director to support successful growth and solicitation
•Schedule and plan meetings with potential donors

SOLICIT GIFTS ON BEHALF OF THE ORGANIZATION
•Manage a portfolio of prospects
•In collaboration with the Executive Director meet with new potential donors
•Develop cultivation strategies for prospects, engage staff when appropriate
Provide direct solicitation and move potential donors toward closure
•Lead recruitment of hosts for special events such as house parties and other benefit events

MANAGE RELATIONSHIPS WITH DONORS AND PROSPECTS

Identify opportunities to network with donors and prospects and engage members of the staff and board as appropriate to make the most of those opportunities
•Maintain consistent quality communications with donors in coordination with MYM Communications Director and Executive Director
•Ensure quality communications follow all gifts to provide thanks and documentation to donors
•Identify and implement opportunities for donor recognition, stewardship, and appreciation

Program Associate

Part-time 20 hours per week
Reports to Director of School Programs

Duties:
• Confirm all upcoming Minding Your Mind programs
• Follow up with schools for feedback
• Manage client questions pertaining to scheduled presentations
• Draft invoices and contracts
• Assist in coordinating travel and logistics
• Receive incoming phone calls and route them to correct Minding Your Mind employee

Relationships:
• Will report directly to the Director of School Programs
Hours:
• 20 hours per week
• Monday & Friday – in Rosemont office from 10-2
• Tuesday – Thursday – working remotely attending to responsibilities between the hours of 9-5 for a maximum of 4 hours a day
Salary: Hourly Commensurate with Experience
